Today we plastered our molds to sculpt.  We had to use the right proportion of 1.5:1 plaster to water ratio for the right consistency.  Although it was a messy process, It will be the most affective material to use to chip away to at our sculptures.

 Reflection Questions

Although an abstract figure, my drawings successfully capture the gesture of the figure in that it shows all of the motion while still only looking semi-humanoid.

To simplify the drawing and sculpture, I try to get rid of almost any sharp edges by smoothing them out.  I am also abstracting the sculpture by doing so.

After realizing that my sculpture needed to be more abstract, I shifted it down to get rid of the legs to help make it less humanoid.

I visualize my sculpture in my container because if I follow my clay model, I is about the same width, height, and length.  I just might need to do extra  chipping away.
